Their documentary film "What is your opinion?" was also shown to journalists present at the conference.
The project is among several financed through the Small Grants fund of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee in Central Asia, which has provided important support to local initiatives since 2007.
Bir Duino representative Lira Ismailova explained during the press conference that the number of children left at crisis centers in Kyrgyzstan is on the rise, due to the practice of early marriages, bride kidnapping of under-age girls and arranged marriages.
The organization has also studied the social effects of rape in several provinces in Kyrgyzstan.
Bir Duino is one of several organizations in Kyrgyzstan receiving project support from the NHC. Similarly, the Small Grants fund is popular among NGOs working in the other Central Asian republics.
