People hospitalised after beatings outside polling stations
(19/02-2008) Proxies, voters and cameramen have been subject to beatings at various polling stations in Yerevan.
The News company a1plus reports that their camera men have been beaten outside polling stations, and that the attackers wearing black attempted to break the camera. Some voters have been forced to leave polling stations after allegations of causing unrest.
The CSI is aware that several people already are hospitalised after being beaten near polling stations. The incidents have taken place at various sites in the Armenian capitol, whereas other parts of the city are completely quiet. - But quiet doesn’t necessarily mean ok, reminds the president of CSI, Artak Kirakosyan.
