New president elected
(15/11-2010) On Saturday, November 13, 2010, Vera Jovanović was elected as the new president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina
She was Ombudsman for Human Rights of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1995 – 2010). Before that she served as public prosecutor in the District Court in Sarajevo and a judge of the Administrative and Supreme Court. Ms Jovanović has received numerous national and international human rights awards. New board members are Jasmina Babić, Naida Softić, Sinan Alić, Miloš Purković, Željka Mihaljević and Enver Murgić. The Norwegian Helsinki Committee congratulates the new president and board members and looks forward to future co-operation.
