Small Grants Fund Central Asia 2013 deadline has now passed
The Norwegian Helsinki Committee is pleased to announce the continuation of our small grants fund for Central Asia. All organizations with project proposals related to human rights, democratization or strengthening of civil society may apply. While we are open to all good proposals, we encourage projects in Kazakhstan related to the outlying regions of the country. In Kyrgyzstan, we are particularly interested in projects addressing the basic human rights of vulnerable groups as well as legal initiatives. In Tajikistan, strengthening of the media and the rights of children is important. However, we are open to original and innovative ideas.
All project proposals should have a first page cover letter with the organization’s details and contact info. The proposal should include a background for the project, a time frame, a description of all planned activities, participants and target group, an assessment of possible risks, as well as the expected goals and result indicators of the project.
The proposal should also include a detailed budget. Budgets should be within the frame of 5 000 to 15 000 USD. All project proposals must include an overview of all current grants received by the organization, as well as previous grants for the past 3 years. Failure to provide complete information on current and previous grants can result in cancellation of any grant provided by the NHC.
All project proposals should be presented in English or Russian languages.
There is no application form, but further guidelines for the application are to be found on our website: www.nhc.no.
All documents should be submitted electronically to the following address: Grantsemail@example.com in the period from 1 June to 10 July, 2013. The Norwegian Helsinki Committee will consider all applications in August, 2013.
