NHC partner produces video encouraging peace in Kyrgyzstan
The human rights organization Spravedlivost' has produced a video encouraging peace between ethnic groups in the South of Kyrgyzstan.
A long-time partner of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, human rights organization Spravedlivost' in Jalalabad, has made a short video encouraging all parents to think about the future of their children and work for peace in the south of Kyrgyzstan. The video shows three mothers with their child - Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Russian - singing lullabies in their three respective languages.
Spravedlivost' is among the many local human rights organizations to have received support through the NHC Small Grants Fund for Central Asia over the past several years. The organization is led by Valentina Gritsenko, and carries out monitoring of serious human rights violations in the Jalalabad province, as well as providing legal support for victims of torture.
