Funda Tekin is Project and Communication Advisor for Türkiye Projects of NHC.
Here, she works on the Freedom of Belief Initiative and the Advocates for Change—Civil Society Support for Türkiye Grant Program. Her work involves monitoring hate crimes, collaborating closely with civil society organisations, and shaping communication efforts to promote human rights.
As civic space narrows in Türkiye, I believe in the power of collective resistance and solidarity to protect rights and create new possibilities.
Funda holds a double major in Journalism and Political Science & International Relations from Bahçeşehir University. Early in her career, she worked at the Hrant Dink Foundation as the Research Coordinator and Researcher for the Media Watch on Hate Speech Project, focusing on media monitoring.
