Anti-Corruption work by civil society organizations in Ukraine

A central pillar of NHCs Nansen program is support to anti-corruption initiatives and journalism. Why? For Ukrainians, accountability is essential for a just and democratic future. For decades corruption has been Ukraine’s internal enemy nr.1. Lack of transparency and nepotism has marred Ukrainian politics, business and public sector for decades. And while previously widespread petty corruption has become almost obsolete due to the legislative changes and technological innovations, judiciary and politics remain the areas civil society must monitor closely.

Our Nansen partners Automaidan and Bihus.Info, represented by a team called TOM 15, are doing exactly that. They are among the most central anti-corruption actors in Ukraine today.
