Recommendations to Norway on questions in the United Nations in 2011

Norwegian NGO Forum for Human Rights, for which the Norwegian Helsinki Committee is the secretariat, has addressed recommendations to Norway on human rights questions in the United Nations in 2011. The recommendations focus on five thematic questions and five country situations, including Belarus and Turkmenistan.

Norwegian NGO Forum for Human Rights this year directs particular attention toward the following thematic issues:

• Blasphemy laws

• Human Rights and Business

• Caste discrimination

• Child rights

• Rights to water and sanitation

The recommendation highlights the country situation in the following countries:

• Belarus

• Democratic Republic of Congo

• Egypt

• Turkmenistan

• Western Sahara
